What it costs

Two sets of tiers, priced separately.

Small Business Priority Bookkeeping

03 / Add-ons

Set-up and catch-up, added to a monthly tier.

Neither of these is sold on its own. Both attach to a monthly engagement, on either side of the split above, and both are quoted rather than listed, because the work varies enormously with your structure and how far back the records go. Discounts are available when you bundle them with each other.

QuickBooks Online Set-Up

Chart of accounts and class listing built for your structure, settings calibrated, users and permissions, opening balances, bank feeds with categorization rules, and your accounts payable, receivable, credit card and payroll platforms integrated.

Add-on to a monthly tier

One-time cost, by quote.

What it covers

Catch-Up Work

Prior periods recategorized and corrected, duplicates removed, every account reconciled up to an agreed date, payroll reconciled, fixed assets reviewed, and closing statements for the final period.

Add-on to a monthly tier

One-time cost, by quote.

What it covers

04 / Stated plainly

What is not included, at any tier.

Knowing where a service stops is worth as much as knowing where it starts. None of the following is part of any tier.

Stand-alone payroll processing

Bi-weekly payroll is available as an add-on on the small business tiers, but payroll on its own is not a service.

Tax filing

Financials are kept tax-prep ready and we work directly with your chosen preparer. The filing itself stays with them. Form 990 filing support is available as a paid add-on on the Priority and Fractional CFO tiers, which means preparing what the filing needs, not submitting it.

Audits, reviews or compilations

We work with your auditors and provide the financial data they request. We do not conduct the audit. Annual audit preparation is available as a paid add-on on the Priority and Fractional CFO tiers, which means getting your records ready for the people who do.

Legal advice

For anything that needs a lawyer, you need a lawyer.

Business entity creation

Setting up the entity itself sits with your attorney or registered agent.

Donor management or contact

Reconciling giving and keeping designations intact is covered. Managing or contacting donors is not.

Writing grant applications

We assist with the financial data an application needs. We do not write the application.

05 / Common questions

Pricing, answered.

Every engagement is quoted. You send the financial data we request, we review it, and the quote reflects your transaction volume, account count, fund structure and how much cleanup the starting point needs. The published figures are the floor those quotes start from.
They start at $250 a month and build from there on the same formula as every other tier: your account count, transaction volume and invoice volume. Run the estimator on the quote form to see a figure, or send your revenue range and we will price it.
For non-profits, mention it on the quote form and ask about custom pricing options. For small businesses, Simple Small Business Bookkeeping is built for exactly that range.
Two months of catch-up before your engagement begins is included at every monthly tier, and on the small business tiers it comes with a twelve-month contract. Anything further back is a separate one-time engagement, quoted after review.
No. The first call is about understanding what your organization needs, and it costs nothing.
Yes. Moving up or down is a conversation rather than a migration, because the underlying records do not change shape.
